Anyone who sees the Melim brothers playing together — very successfully, by the way — must imagine that they grew up making the biggest sound, turning their house in Niterói (Rio de Janeiro) into a permanent stage. Wrong! Diogo and Rodrigo, who are twins, and the youngest, Gabi, only recently connected musically. But the chemistry worked so well that success was a natural consequence. With their seasoned mix of reggae, pop, MPB, and international influences, the trio's "good vibe" style and harmonious vocals quickly gained a loyal legion of fans. And that number promises to grow even more. After releasing a successful EP late last year, the band Melim now arrives with an album packed with 16 original songs.
